Khamzat SNAPS on Ian Garry for TRASH TALK! Undefeated welterweight rising star Ian Garry has long envisioned stepping into the cage against dominant middleweight contender Khamzat Chimaev. Their tension dates back to a heated elevator encounter in Florida late last year. Now, Garry is hoping a victory at UFC 310 will move him closer to that dream showdown.
Garry, who faces fellow undefeated fighter Shavkat Rakhmonov in the co-main event of UFC 310 this weekend, believes a win could secure him a welterweight title shot. If current champion Belal Muhammad fully recovers, the winner may get their chance at 170-pound gold.
Speaking to Ariel Helwani, Garry outlined his ambitious plans: “I’m a young guy who dreamt of this. I wanted to see my face on billboards and fight the scariest names in the sport. My ideal path is to beat Shavkat, win the title, and then move up to middleweight to challenge Khamzat. I’m not scared of anyone.”
